Overview
TP-T36 integrates a ground power supply, enclosure, tether cable, reel and control circuit. It supplies electrical power to a tethered UAV and supports cable payout and powered rewind. Data transmission is available as a customer-specific configuration, with Ethernet, an FC fiber-optic adapter for optical-fiber transmission connections, and fiber-optic communication; it is not a standard feature of every unit.

Features
- Ground power supply and tether reel in one enclosure
- Constant-power limiting without a peak-power mode
- Separate DC output and winch power circuits
- Manual torque adjustment for cable retrieval

For the 120 m cable, the recommended maximum flight height is 100 m. Account for the angled cable path and reserve sufficient safety length to prevent the tether pulling on the aircraft. Observe applicable local flight rules. Maximum rewind speed is ≤2 m/s.
Panel and power controls
The AC circuit breaker is the overall power switch. The main DC output switch controls the high-voltage output. The winch receives power separately from the AC side, so stopping the DC output does not by itself remove winch power.
The SET control is for output settings. The confirmed rated and factory-default values are 1500 V and 24 A, with a 36 kW constant-power limit and no peak-power rating. The output range is 1000–1500 VDC. Maximum continuous current is 25 A, with the 36 kW power limit and 25 A current limit applying together. Reducing voltage does not permit current above 25 A. Setting changes require manufacturer guidance; incorrect changes may damage connected equipment.

This demonstration image shows the output settings. The measurement side shows the idle display, not a loaded-output test.
The measurement panel displays actual output voltage, current, power and internal temperature. The settings panel displays configured voltage and current.
The Help control supports Chinese and English display selection. Contact the manufacturer for configuration details. The On control enables power output at the configured voltage within the current and power limits. The Off control stops the power supply output.
Connections
Use the supplied input cable and the configured cabinet power inlet with the specified mains or generator supply. The input is three-phase 380–400 VAC, 50 Hz. Follow the approved connection instructions for the delivered configuration.

The tether power connector is selected for the customer's application. The electrical connector must not carry mechanical cable tension. Insulation requirements, residual-voltage discharge and protection against incorrect mating require the delivered configuration's approved instructions.
Operation and shutdown
Place the cabinet on a level surface. Set the torque control to its lowest position before switching on the AC circuit breaker. The display illuminates when the system is powered.
Enable the DC output when the aircraft requires power. The cooling fan operates and the display reports cable-supply voltage, current and power.
Cable payout is passive. Start with low torque, with adjustments for the actual conditions. During descent and rewind, adjust torque gradually and coordinate the aircraft's descent with cable retrieval. The system uses manual torque adjustment; it is not an automatic constant-tension control system.
The shutdown sequence is: stop output, disconnect high voltage, verify residual voltage, retrieve the remaining cable, stop the winch, and open the AC circuit breaker. Unplug the input cable after shutdown. The approved residual-voltage verification method and discharge interval must be supplied before this sequence is used as a commissioning procedure.
Precautions
- Keep the unit level and stable before use.
- Operators must use insulating gloves as required by the operating instructions and the approved work procedure.
- Increase torque gradually; do not abruptly turn the control to its maximum position.
- After cable payout or retrieval, coil the power cord neatly and store it in the enclosure instead of dragging it across the floor.
- Do not drag the tether over the ground. Check for stones and sharp objects that could fray or cut it.
