TethPower TP-P16 is a 16kW airborne DC-DC power module for heavy-lift tethered UAV systems using a regulated 50V-class aircraft bus. It accepts 850-1000VDC tether input and delivers 320A rated output current for high-power propulsion and mission loads.
The 6.5kg module integrates forced-air cooling, ≥97% conversion efficiency and industrial protection functions for sustained field operation where smaller airborne converters do not provide enough output capacity.

TP-P16 should be selected as part of the complete tethered UAV power chain, not from the kW rating alone. TethPower reviews the aircraft battery/DC-bus voltage, continuous and peak demand, payload, tether length, cable voltage drop, operating altitude, temperature and ground-power architecture before confirming a matched configuration.

TP-P16 is intended for heavy-lift platforms where the combined propulsion and mission load requires substantially more power than 8-12kW airborne modules can supply.
The manual specifies 16kW rated output at 50V-class voltage and 320A rated current.
No separate peak-power figure is stated in the current manual. The maximum current is 340A, but TethPower does not convert that into a claimed peak-power rating without explicit source data.
The airborne module weighs about 6.5kg, and the aircraft must also lift part of the tether and the mission payload. MTOW and real working payload should be checked together.
The manual specifies operation from -40°C to +50°C. Actual power capability depends on cooling airflow, installation and environmental conditions.
