TethPower TP-P5 is a 5kW high-current airborne DC-DC power module for tethered UAV platforms operating on a 24V-class power bus. It converts 680-800VDC tether input into a regulated 24V output with 210A rated current.

Why does a 24V module need such high output current?

At lower voltage, the same power requires more current. TP-P5 is designed for 24V-class platforms that need up to 5kW of airborne power and therefore require a high-current output path.

What is the maximum output current?

The manual specifies 210A rated current and 220A maximum current.

Is there a separate peak-power rating?

No separate peak-power value is stated in the current manual. The product page therefore lists the confirmed 5kW rated power without inventing a peak value.

Can TP-P5 be used on a 48V or 60V UAV?

Not as the standard configuration. TP-P5 is a 24V-class module. TethPower should review the aircraft bus voltage before recommending another module or a customized configuration.

Does long tether length affect TP-P5 selection?
