The decision
Specify the cleaning installation as a connected system. The boom's dimensions and interfaces are specifications; the pump, hose, nozzle and operating conditions determine what must be reviewed for your project.
Begin with the spray accessory
The current TP-M400-SG1 record describes a 770 mm carbon-fiber boom weighing 830 g, mounted below DJI Matrice 400 using a universal 1/4-inch quick-release base. Use these values when reviewing the physical installation and the equipment included in an offer.
The TP-M400-SG2 has its own product information. Compare the two against the required spray function and installation, using their respective manuals. Keep the selected model explicit throughout the quotation process.
Carry the jet-range conditions with the number
SG1’s specified 7–10 m jet range is associated with a 2.0 mm nozzle, 10 MPa ground-pump supply, 900 L/h flow and Beaufort force 3 wind. Those conditions belong with the figure whenever it is used in a comparison.
Ground-pump supply pressure is not a rated working pressure for the complete spray gun. Jet reach is also different from cleaning acceptance on a particular surface. A project enquiry should therefore describe both the intended working distance and the result to be evaluated.
Review the water path and aircraft installation
Send the pump model, pressure-and-flow information, hose length and dimensions, nozzle and connection details. Include the planned hose route and operating height. These inputs let us review the proposed water-delivery arrangement against the selected accessory.
For the aircraft, share the mounting arrangement and other installed payloads. The installation review should address balance, hose routing and the actual operating configuration. Do not infer endurance or flight-control behavior from boom weight alone.
Prepare a representative cleaning trial
Describe the surface, contamination, access conditions and intended evaluation area. Agree how the result will be judged, including coverage, remaining contamination and any surface-specific requirements. Use photographs and the customer’s acceptance criteria to make the discussion concrete.
The enquiry can start with existing information. Mark the pump, hose or nozzle as undecided if necessary, and request a matched proposal. This is more useful than requesting a spray gun without the surrounding cleaning-system requirements.
Decide whether the project also needs tethered electrical power
A ground-fed hose supplies cleaning fluid. The aircraft may still use its own battery unless a separate tethered power arrangement is included. Our water tether and power tether guide explains the two equipment paths.
If the project calls for tethered electrical power, include the aircraft input, installed spray equipment, suspended hose and cable, and available site power in the integration review. The proposed airborne module and ground station need to be considered with that complete load.
For an SG1 or SG2 accessory purchase, enquire from its product page. For a full power proposal, use Build or discuss the M400 installation with us. We can identify the accessories and power equipment to be supplied while retaining the equipment you already own.
